Remote Fixer - Frequently Asked Questions
Listed below are just a few of the most common questions we
get asked regarding our repair service.
Q - How do i get my remote repaired?
A - Simply goto here and fill in the online form with your
details.
Q - How long does it take to repair my remote?
A - We have many parts for common remote controls in stock,
therefore we can usually repair remotes within 48 hours of
receiving it. If we do not have parts in stock then repairs
can take upto 21 days. We will keep you informed during the
repair process.
Q - How much does a repair cost?
A - We have a fixed price of just £20 in total for all remote
repairs, this does not include return postal costs. You must
include 10 first class stamps (or a cheque / postal order for £4 made out to SMG Development) with your sent remote, failure
to do so can lead to your remote being delayed until the relevant
postal costs are paid.
Q - How do i pay for my repair?
A - There are various different methods of payment, you may
either pay by credit card online or over the phone or you may
opt to pay by cheque or postal order. To ensure a swifter return
of your remote when paying by cheque you may include your payment
when sending the remote to us, this cheque will not be cashed
until a successful repair has been carried out. In the event
that a remote control cannot be repaired your payment cheque
/ Postal order will be returned with your remote.
