Hoffman RC02A Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : not working new battery fitted battery was heating up so was removed.
This Hoffman remote arrived safely, once a battery was applied it was found to be overheating very rapidly and the remote itself was non functioning.
Obviously an internal Short was present within the remote. Once opened the main 1000uF capacitor was found to be shorted and was also leaking on one of the pins.
This was replaced and full functionality was restored (See )
