Customers Fault Description : will not turn on light or operate light ot motor on fire unit, Relative has similar fire and remote and this relatives remote operates the fire normally. Got friend tv repair man to look for obvious defect on remote and he thinks the chip in handset is gone faulty.
This remote arrived safely with its corresponding receiver. First inspection with a test receiver showed that the fault was with the remote handset itself as it was not sending out a signal at all on either the up or down channels.
This was rectified by replacing the ultrasonic transmitter within the remote, full functionality was restored (See testing Video)
