Response Electronics Plc HA50R Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : Response Electronics Plc

Model : HA50R

Customers Fault Description : Will no longer arm or dis-arm the system. We have another remote of the same type which works ok so we know the system itself is working & it is this remote that has failed.

This panic button remote arrived safely.  On first inspection the remote was tested as sending out a signal on all button presses.

It was thought that possibly the handset had a loose connection / dry joint etc that would cause an intermittent fault so the remote was opened and a visual inspection was carried out.

All solder joints / connections were found to be solid and no cracks were found.

As the remote is sending out a signal it is requested that the customer double check the pin configuration on the DIP switches (the blue rectangular row of switches) and double check that they match up with the receiver.

As the remote seems to be sending out a signal and no fault can be found without the receiver to hand then there is no charge (just the return postage charge is needed to return the remote).  If the Dip switches are correct then it would look like the Eprom could be sending out an incorrect signal, this eprom is not available to purchase and therefore if this is the case then it would deem the remote beyond repair.
