Bose Rc28t1-40 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : New house came with system and when moved in remote was not working. Some old battery's in remote looked that they may have leaked replaced and still not working.
This remote arrived and was found to be transmitting but very "sluggish". Upon opening the remote there seemed to be a sheen of spillage over the PCB (see bottom image). This was removed by giving the board a full alcohol bath. This removed the "slugish" functionality.
As the customer stated that the remote was not "working" it is important that they check the Pin configuration matches the receiver - this is located in the battery compartment.
Full testing will need to be carried out by the customer and if any further problems are present then contact us as soon as possible.
