Teac R C 613 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : All buttons light up think needs new infrared bulb

 

This remote was brought to us by the customer, initial testing showed that even though a visible LED was illuminating no infra red signal was being transmitted.

Upon opening there was no visible apparent reason (no dry joints, spilleage etc).  A component check was carried out and again no immediate problem was found except the IR led was reading slightly irregular.  It is rare to the IR LED to go faulty but in this case, replacing it cured the fault and full functionality was restored (See testing video)
