Customers Fault Description : On/off not working Buttons will not operate DVD
Thgis Funai remote arrived securely and initial testing revealed that there were in face a few buttons that were either not functioning or were intermittently working including the on off button, the 4, 8 and down navigation button.
Upon opening the remote there was no visial signs of spilleage or wear. Continuity test showed that there was infact a lot of broken print on the ruberised track bridges which was causing the fault.
The entire PCB track bridges and button array was reworked using a silver conductive solution and full functionality was restored (see testing video)
