Customers Fault Description : When pressing remote to turn fire on works perfectly but will not turn work when pressed to reduce flame or turn off.
This fireplace remote and receiver arrived well packaged.
Initial testing confirmed that the down channel was not functioning. The remote was tested first and was found to be transmitting perfectly well.
Therefore the problem was with the receiver, this is a common fault and the solution was to replace the 40khz crystal. This was done and full functionality was restored.
