MOT Rolling Roller Tester Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : MOT

Model : Rolling Roller Tester

Customers Fault Description : Al buttons are working and the red light is working when buttons pressed , but it will not work the equipment , it says no signal is beeing recieved from the remote

This brake tester remote arrived safely, first inspection revealed that there were 2 buttons missing from the array, the top plate was missing and also the battery cover was missing, the remote was also held together by tape.

The handset was tested and was found to be fully functioning, it was sending a signal on all buttons.

The remote was opened to see if there was any dry joints / cracks but the internal of the system was found to be in working order.  The only problem noticed was that the battery was leaking within the remote and had started tarnishing the terminal.  This was cleaned to prevent future problems and the customer is advised to replace the battery asap.

As the initial fault cannot be seen this job has been classed as no fault found and the problem is likely to be with the receiver itself, no charge except the return postage is required.
