Silvelox TSM2 Remote Repair Details

Model : TSM2

Customers Fault Description : Only the bottom button was programmed to be used to open the door. The remote was immersed in flood water, but has been carefully dried and a new battery installed. When the button is pushed the red light illuminates but the door does not open. I have tried reprogramming the remote with the door motor, but it still does not work.

 

This remote arrived safely and on powering the LED indicator was illuminating on each button press but there was no radio signal being transmitted at all.

The main PCB dis have some signs of contamination around the main ic which was cleaned off using alcohol but sadly this was not the cause of the problem.  A component check revealed no immediate erroneous readings and therefore it was concluded that hte main IC was itself the culprit.  This IC is not available to us as a spare and therefore has rendered this repair not possible.
