Customers Fault Description : Battery acid has leaked and solidified around connectors, preventing battery power reaching the circuit board.
This fireplace remote and receiver arrived safely. First inspection confirmed that there had indeed been a battery leakage in the receiver which had corroded many of the terminals.
Luckily the leakage had not spread internally onto the main board therefore a replacement battery compartment was fitted and full functionality was restored.
