Mertic Maxitrol G30-ZRHSO Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : The gas fire and remote is about 7 years old and has worked well until recently. It will not like the fire, when tested against the battery module the red light flickers intermittingly. When pressing the button to extinguish the fire the light glows constantly suggestly it is the starter in the remote. There is also a slight rattle within the remote.

 

This remote arrived safely.  On testing the remote was found to be transmitting as expected on both channels as expected.  It is advised that the customer send in the receiver box as it is looking like the fault is with the receiver and not the remote itself.

The receiver arrived and tested with the remote, there was the usual fault of a faulty crystal in the receiver and a replacement was fitted as well as the corresponding one in the controller and the fault then dissapeared
