Wall Clock GX-IR03 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Does not respond when trying to start/stop. That happens with all the buttons. The only option we have is to switch the clock off and stand in one position that responds when it is switched on.
This wall clock handset arrived safely, on first inspection it was noted that the battery compartment cover was loose.
On adding a power source there was no infra red being emmited from any button press. When opened the problem became clear, the IR LED was dry jointed on both pins, these were resoldered and full functionality was restored.
