Blue four button model (from bottom Grey, Green, Red, Green) PDT KF04-433RC Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : Blue four button model (from bottom Grey, Green, Red, Green)

Model : PDT KF04-433RC

Customers Fault Description : Unpredictable outcome when buttons pressed. Often garage doors move up or down only about six inches or so - and then lots of pressing and releasing is needed - often having to be very close to the garage door for the signal to reach. When new, the FOB would reliably work from 30 metres. The FOBs are about 3 years old now.

These PDT key fob controllers arrived safely and on opening 1 was found to be functioning as normal.  A quick component test was carried out and no problem could be found, the battery housing was slightly loose but not enough to cause a immediate problem, this was tightened to prevent future issues, there is no charge for this first remote.

The second key fob controller when a power source was added was found to be non transmitting on any button press.  This was due to a open circuit resistor which was cutting off the supply to the radio frequency. This was replaced and full functionality was restored.

Please note that it is possible that these remote may need reprogramming with the receiver, it is advised to check first with the system when the remotes are received.
