Telstyreisen ALR 9446 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Case is damaged and as a result it works intermittently depending how hard you squeeze the case together, which has been held together by duck tape for a while now. I recently had to replace the battery which resulted in needing to open the case. Would really like to have the case replaced. As far as I'm aware there is nothing else wrong with the unit.

 

This garage door opener remote arrived safely and on opening the package the casing to the control was broken and sticky due to the tape used to hold it together.

On adding a power source it was found that the button would have to be pressed hard to get it to function, this required the button to be replaced.  Also there was a break in one of the aerial coil connections, this was resoldered and full functionality was restored.

Normally we do not replace casings as we cannot obtain replacements but luckily i did have one that was left with me last year therefore on this occasion the casing was replaced also.
