Canton DM50 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : This is equipment I have just bought on ebay. I have replaced the battery but when powered up the soundbase does not appear to react to the remote. The seller insists the soundbase was working before she sent it but says she was using her sky remote to control it and has suggested maybe the remote is not working!
This TV Soundbase control arrived safely and on testing was found to not be transmitting on any button press.
When opened the problem was clean, the solder joints around the IR led were cracked and making an intermittent connection on both legs.
This was re soldered and full functionality was restored.
