Pioneer AXD7364 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Batteries have suddenly stopped supplying power to the handset. Once fixed it will be easy to test as the remote has an LCD screen which glows orange when any of the top 4 buttons are pressed. I would also appreciate it if you could give the remote control a thorough clean around the buttons whilst it is apart. I have taken out the screws for your ease of repair which I will retain until I get the item back.

 

This Pioneer Controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed not to be functioning.  Wehn opened there was a couple of issues located.

There were a couple of Dry joints situated around the main IR which were causing intermittent open circuits.  The Solder joints were resoldered as well as a few other suspect joints. Once retested full functionality was restored.
