universal 1000 in 1 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : on/off works but nothing else.i bought a new which I enclose but cant get it to work.

 

This aircon remote control arrived safely and on adding a power source was found to be dead and non responsive except for the visible LED being permanently illuminated.

When opened it was found that there was small signs of corrosion on the main PCB. The corrosion was not too severe but had shorted out many contacts on the board.  This caused the mian ic to be shorted and become faulty, sadly this IC cannot be replaced as it is encased under a dome of resin making removing it impossible.

The other control that was sent cannot be programmed without being with the receiver itself, therefore we cannot program it for the customer.
