Burley Appliance 516 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : The remote has stopped working and I cannot control the electric fire. I have changed the batteries so it must be a connection in the remote. The red LED light also no longer come on. It is a one button remote.
This fireplace remote arrived and first inspection before opening showed that there was some plastic bordering broken off the back of the remote (see images below), this does not affect the functionality of the remote but does make the battery cover loose. This kind of cosmetic damage cannot be repaired.
The remote was found to be totally non functioning, upon opening it was found to have some faulty print work, this was reworked and the main I.C. was re-soldered due to some suspect looking joints.
Full Functionality has now been restored to the handset
