Logitech Harmony Ultimate Remote Repair Details

Model : Harmony Ultimate

Customers Fault Description : The handset is completely dead, will not power up or charge. It shows no sign of life even when the USB cable is plugged in. Potentially, I suppose, the USB power connection doesn't work so it doesn't power up or charge. But I don't know what the problem is.

 

This remote arrived and was found to be totally dead, a charge was attempted before opening but no functionality was found.

Upon opening the battery was found to be fully drained and was the first suspect.  This was temporarily changed for another known working battery but sadly it did not rectify the fault.

Due to lack of schematics and complexity of this remote (its basically a full computer in mini form) we have been unable to repair this handset.
