Magiglo Remote Fireplace Remote Repair Details

Model : Fireplace

Customers Fault Description : Battreies leaked and knacked PCB, i think.

 

This receiver arrived safely and initial inspection before opening did reveal a battery leakage giving corroded terminals as mentioned by the customer.

When dismantled the extend of the leakage was found to be very severe, the bottom image shows that the pcb has been massively damaged due to the battery acid which has eaten through much of the print tracks and also many of the surface mount components.

Due to the extent of this damage sadly this receiver has been classed as beyond repair.
