Wurlitzer 0059745 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : No buttons working ( power button, option button, reset button,and external channel 2,- and+ not supposed to work ) Have taken apart and cleaned , warmed gently with a haiirdryer and nursed back to life loads of times in the past but this time nothing Very occasionally, if I wiggle the cancel button , it will cancel.

 

This Juke Box remote control arrived safely.  There was no functionality at all.

Upon opening there were signs that the board have been abbrasively cleaned due to scratched on the Carbon, this was not the problem.

As per the customer fault description it was assumed that there was a crack in the print or bad solder joint so the pcb was heated and functionality returned for a few seconds.

A full rework of the solder joints was carried out but sadly this did not cure the fault.  It is the conclusion that the main IC is most likely at fault.  Due to this IC not being readily available this has deemed the remote beyond repair.
