Customers Fault Description : The remote will turn the fire on and up but not down and off. i have tried another identical remote for another fire in another room and it works perfectly on the fire in question and also tried the faulty remote on the other fire where it will again turn the fire on and up but not down and off
This remote arrived safely and the fault diagnosis showed that the remote was not transmitting at all, the handset was tested using a Ultrasonic tester and no signal was being transmitted.
The fault was cured by replacing the Ultrasonic transmitter in the handset. This was then tested with a test receiver and full functionality was restored (See )
