Gazco G30-ZRHT Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Gazco
Model : G30-ZRHT
Customers Fault Description : The remote control was working fine until someone has either dropped it or run over it with a Hoover. It worked completely normally after that for a couple of weeks although I could feel that the casing was coming loose. Then one day the casing came apart and the buttons popped out of their slots and I could not make them all go back into the correct places. So, as far as I'm aware, the remote has not broken mechanically, it just came apart a little while after being dropped.
This silver Gazco remote arrived and first inspection confirmed what the customer had stated. The handset was in peices and there were visible signs of "clips" being broken off the remote casing as well as the buttons being loose.
A full electronic inspection of the remote was carried out and luckily the damage had not extended to the PCB or components as it was transmitting on both channels.
Repairs to the Casing were carried out and buttons refitted. Full functionality was restored (See testing Video)
