Bose RC28T1-40 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : New batteries put in but not responding / transmitting to the music system. I think the old baterries may have leaked slightly

 

This Bose remote arrived safely and was found to be dead.  Upon opening the handset being opened the problem cause became apparent.

As mentioned by the customer a battery spillage had occurred and had started to corrode various parts of the print (see images). Also the keypad contacts were worn down.

Due to the extent of the damage this remote has sadly been rendered beyond repair.

No charge is required for the diagnosis, only the return postage is required of the remote is to be repaired.
