Baird CN42LEDBK Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Its been a bit battered and now won't work at all

 

This remote arrived safely, first inspection revealed that there were many cracks in the casing, the IR cover was missing and the battery cover was held on with cellotape.  None of these things effect the functionality of the handset.

There were 2 problems with the remote, the first was apparent when opening the battery cover, the terminals had been pushed through the back of the remote making powering the set impossible.

 

These were glued back in place and also a repair to the PCB was carried out around the large capacitor which had a crack in it.

Full functionality was restored.  Please note the cosmetic damage cannot be repaired only the electronic functionality of the handset has been repaired.
