Gazco EL0239 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : The remote control does not function. Checked Battery-OK. Replaced Battery, still no response i.e. the LED does not illuminate whichever button is pressed.
This gazco remote arrived safely and was found to be non transmitting or illuminating.
Upon opening there was a sticky liquid found around the top of the handset internally.
This was cleaned up but the fault remained, a component check revealed that the red LED was faulty, this was replaced and full functionality was restored.
