Proscan PLDED3274-UK Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Not working at all

 

This Proscan TV remote arrived safely, initial testing confirmed that there was no signal at all from any button press.

Upon opening the handset the problem became apparent, there had been a major battery leakage around the main IC on the PCB (See images).  This acid had eaten through much of the print and even through the print under the chips resin cover.

An attempt was made to try to rework the print but sadly due to not being able to reach far enough under the resin it has deemed this repair not possible.  There is no service charge and only the return postage is required if the handset is to be returned.

 This remote has been disposed of as per our terms and conditions 22-04-2016
