Oma Roller Brake Tester Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Oma
Model : Roller Brake Tester
Customers Fault Description : top button that says right on it is not transmitting
This roller brake tester remote arrived safely and well packaged with a battery still inserted. Initial inspection revealed cracks around the top 3 button pads (most likely the most used buttons) as well as some contamination around the cracks.
The button that was faulty was actually the top left button (not top right as mentioned by the customer)
The surface contamination was cleaned up and the left button was cut open and cleaned. This did not repair the problem but luckily a tiny crack in the surface print around the button contacts was found and reworked which restored full functionality.
The button cap was glue in place and then tape was used to cover the cracks (to seal the buttons against further foreign contamination)
