Sony RM-SCU37 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : None of the buttons work

 

This remote arrived safely, on first inspection there was foil around one of the battery terminals which i can assume was becasue there were signs of corrosion from a battery leakage.

Upon opening the remote if was noticed that there was signs of print damage around the main I.C. which is most likely caused from the leakage.

The print was cleaned up and a continuity test was caried out but sadly no problem could be found.  It was concluded that the fault lay with the main I.C. itself which is not available.

This has rendered this repair not possible.
