Customers Fault Description : Ignition is not working
Initially the handset was sent to us for repair but as no fault could be replicated it was requested that the receiver be sent to us for investigation.
When the receiver arrived initial inspection revealed that there was a severe battery leakage in the receiver (see image below).
This was cleaned up and then tested. The problem was the 40khz crystal in the receiver which was causing a problem. This was replaced and full functionality was restored.
The batteries in the receiver were disposed of due to the leakage.
