RIVIERA UR203 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : LEFT OUT IN THE RAIN, LIGHT CAME AFTER DRYING OUT BUT THEN DID NOT WORK
This Rivierea remote arrived safely. On opening the package there was a strong smell of aerosol lubricant such as wd40. The remote was opened before adding a power source to verify the contamination and sadly there was traces of liquid contamination (switch cleaner / wd40) inside the remote.
This contamination was cleaned of as best as possible with alcohol and then a power source was added, the remote remained dead. Sadly this contamination has penetrated the pcb and reached under the main ics which has rendered this remote beyond repair.
