mertik maxitrol Q30-ZRHD(transmitter) Q30-ZRRS(receiver) Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : mertik maxitrol

Model : Q30-ZRHD(transmitter) Q30-ZRRS(receiver)

Customers Fault Description : Transmitter doesn't always power up when insert batteries. When it does, the UP button doesn't work (LED only lights on the receiver when press the down button) In the receiver, old batteries had leaked slightly and corroded the battery contacts. I have cleaned these up and it seemed to work ok for a while (down button only)

This remote and receiver arrived safely.  On first inspection the battery compartment cover was missing and there was signs of a major battery leakage on the terminals.

The battery compartment was replaced and a cover was fitted.  On powering up the handset itself did not respond at all.  This was found to be due to a faulty diode which was intermittently causing power loss.  This was replaced and power was restored however one of the channels was not responding, this was the common problem of faulty crystals, these were replaced and full functionality was restored.
