Gazco Mertik Maxitrol G30 Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : Gazco

Model : Mertik Maxitrol G30

Customers Fault Description : Receiver not receiving

This remote and receiver arrived safely, on first inspection there was signs of battery corrosion in the remote itself.

On adding a power source the controller was sending out a signal on both the up and down channels but would intermittently stop.  The receiver however was not responding at all to either button press.

The usual crystal modification was carried out and a few rectifying diodes were replaced which did restore partial functionality to the receiver, it will work on the up channel but only intermittently work on the down channel.  This has been faulted to a main IC in the receiver which sadly is not available as a spare therefore the receiver cannot be repaired and a replacement is required.

The remote itself was able to be repaired by replacing the battery terminals, this was done and full permanent functionality was restored to the control itself.
