mertik maxitol g30 Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : mertik maxitol

Model : g30

Customers Fault Description : believe receiver unit not functioning

This remote and receiver arrived safely. On opening the battery compartment to the receiver it was noticed that there had been a battery spillage.  Sadly this leakage had spread to the main PCB board and had started to corrode may parts of the print.  Also the PCB in the handset itself was loose meaning that the buttons were not always working due to missalignment.

Due to the extent of the corrosion a repair has not been possible.

As per the customers request, the remote control was repaired, as it turned out it was the bottom down button that had collapsed, this was replaced and the board then sat properly in the housing.
