Customers Fault Description : Down button works ok (LED on receiver lights every time) Up button works very intermittently with LED facing upwards, and when the receiver is lightly tapped Have looked at pcb where there is signs of possible ‘moisture attack’?? Can’t see a dry joint
This fireplace remote and receiver arrived safely and on testing was found to be non responsive on one channel, waving the remote arround caused temporary function but was not productive.
This was found to be due to a faulty 40khz crystal in the receiver, this was replaced and full functionality was restored.
