Merlin 230T Remote Repair Details

Model : 230T

Customers Fault Description : Remote is dead, changed the battery but still dead.
The door works fine with the manual button but not with the remote. I have made sure all of the ‘dip switches’ are set correctly.

 

This Merlin garage door controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed not to be responding on either button press.

On opening the buttons were found to be high resistance, both were replaced but the fault remained.  A continuity test revealed that there was a break in the print due to corrosion.  The print was reworked and full functionality was restored.
