Sleepeezee (MAXWELL PRODUCTS INC) R2T3ABC Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Not working,cleaned all buttons,put silver foil and bare electric paint on buttons,no result,got power to circuit board.

 

These 2 sleepeezee bed controllers arrived safely and on testing both were problematic.

The first controller had a faulty cable from the battery terminal as well as a couple of poor solder joints, these was resoldered but the buttons were sluggish.  The buttons were conductivity  coated and full functionality was restored.

 

The second controller had attempted button repairs carried out using foil which sadly had failed.  The buttons were etched clean and conductivity coated which restored the button functionality but the control was then very intermittend, it was found that the function mode switch was broken and the internal metal was loose making it temporarily conductive.  The switch was removed and a permanent bridge placed and full functionality was then restored.

Please note as usual with these controls the red indicator LED may not illuminate, this is a common issue that doesnt effect normal infra red signal functionality.
