Customers Fault Description : NO RESPONSE AT ALL AFTER NOTICING A LEAKY BATTERY
This ceiling fan controller arrived safely and on inspection the IR cover was damaged, this cannot be replaced and doesn't effect functionality.
On testing the remote was found not to be transmitting on any button press.
When opened the battery leakage was found to have traversed onto the PCB (see image), this was cleaned up and the oscillator replaced. This restored full functionality.
