Firmamatic GDO-4 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : nothing obviously wrong with the remote but nothing happens when buttons pressed. new battery inserted and still no good.

This garage door handset arrived safely and on testing was found to be responding from its button press but occasionally the LED would be dimly lit.

On opening when one of the buttons was pressed and moved slightly the item would be intermittent.  Also it was noticed that the black wire of the battery cable was connected by only a tiny thread, this broke of very easily.

All buttons were replaced as well as the battery cable which restored solid functionality.
